I suppose this isnÆt the first public condemnation of Hilen Tukoss. I also pray that it wonÆt be the last. I imagine û I hope, for the StateÆs sake - that myself and the other right-minded citizens who have made clear their sentiments on Tukoss-hnolkuÆs betrayal of the Caldari people are only the first and second voices in a long procession of public outcry over this private act of treason. The resolution of this matter is now a principle of justice for the Caldari people, and our voices must not be silenced or dampened until Tukoss-hnolku has met a proper end.
Tukoss-hnolkuÆs recent departure to Matari space has cast a long shadow over the Caldari State. A man who was apparently one of our brightest and ablest minds has heaped contempt on his former homeland through his actions. If this were the extent of his injuries to the State it would possibly be excusable to simply forget him the morning after his departure of Caldari space - that would be a response appropriate to any small-scale national embarrassment. However, this is far above the level of a small-scale embarrassment to the State. Hilen Tukoss has jeopardized the collective security of his former countrymen through collaboration with our armed enemies. For an act such as this, no punishment our people are capable of bestowing can be too great.
I wouldn't be doing much if I only passed off harsh words to the public. I very much doubt it would accomplish much for this cause of national vindication. To that end, my organization is prepared to front a 1,500,000,000 ISK bounty to be paid out to whatever party manages to permanently end Hilen TukossÆs existence. The terms of the distribution of the payout are that we will not accept as sufficient proof only one of Tukoss-hnolku's clones; our offer is only good when the last of Hilen TukossÆs clones is destroyed, and when we have been provided or made aware of reliable information proving that such has happened.
It is our understanding that our bounty matches the offer a patriot of the State (if he may accept such a compliment from me) is promising to pay for Hilen TukossÆs live return to the State. This was an intentional parallel on the part of my organization. Simply put, my organization has no interest in preserving Tukoss-hnolkuÆs life, and absolutely no reason to do so. However, so we might be fair to the interests Ishukone and the greater State have in bringing in Tukoss-hnolku alive, we will reward a live capture of the traitor with a half-bounty of $750,000,000 ISK.
We are aware that Hilen Tukoss is heading the so-called ôArekÆJaalan Project.ö We are aware that its professed goals seem to promise substantial benefits for all peoples of New Eden, including the Caldari. We have decided that this does not merit any consideration on our part, nor will it be allowed to affect our judgment. There is no reason the project would be unable to move forward under the leadership of someone other than its current director. We also have not felt that any possible advances or leaps forward that may stem from this project in the future can lessen our judgment on Hilen Tukoss. In light of all possible consequences and developments as far as the ArekÆJaalan Project goes, our bounty will remain in place and in full.
My organization's sentiments are that a death sentence for Tukoss-hnolku's treason is an appropriate response to his defection, and that any other accommodation, no matter how serious or grave, is simply not what this man is entitled to. As has been already stated, outright treason was not this manÆs only option. He was not forced to choose a path that would lead him into the open arms of enemies of the State, as well as into the sights of organizations like my own. To that end, we consider it a matter of justice and national integrity û and nothing more, and certainly nothing less û to do whatever we can to punish his act of betrayal.
As always, "Rukkui dai, lai dai."
